The fifth-annual ArtWell Poetry and Art Show was a massive success! It started with an outpouring of love and community at this year's opening reception, which showcased the artistic works of our students and Teaching Artists.

This year’s exhibit filled The Galleries at Moore College of Art & Design with color, courage, imagination, and stories that linger long after the final applause. From striking visual art to powerful poetry, ever piece invited us to see the world through a new lens.

Live Performances

Students gave live performances of their poetry, followed by the Philadelphia Youth Poet Laureate, Rashawn Dorsey, and Feature Poet, Yolanda Wisher. Thank you to all our performers and our feature artist, Faridah Ismaila, for sharing your gifts with us.

This year’s celebrated the power of artmaking as a vehicle for community building within classrooms and throughout the city of Philadelphia. In honor of ArtWell’s 25th anniversary, we also celebrated the beautiful community (past, present, and future) that has made ArtWell what it is today.
