Amari Lee

Amari is a self published author, educator, artivist and Jersey native. She has worked with youth in the community to develop leadership, self awareness and artistic expression at non profits including Sadie Nash Leadership Project and Arts Ed Newark. She attended Penn State University, where she studied Psychology. On campus, she was president of W.O.R.D.S(her nationally ranked spoken word club) which later inspired her to create her virtual Open Mic Words Wednesday. She was recently an opener for DTL’s March showcase featuring Malpractice and World Spoken Word champ, Chev. Her passions include serving as a resource for her community through art and non profit work. Her ultimate life goal is opening her own non profit art program for New Jersey youth.
