Chelsea Badeau

Chelsea Badeau is Executive Director of Editorial and Content Operations at Comcast/NBCUniversal. She leads a team of editorial production and operations specialists, graphic designers, and copy editors in programming Comcast's entertainment products; Xfinity X1, Xfinity Stream, Xfinity Flex, Xumo TV, and My.Xfinity.com. She has been with Comcast since 2003 and in a leadership role for over a decade. She has extensive experience with performance management, budget planning, and oversight, as well as implementing processes and best practices based on data. Chelsea has served on the boards of The Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia, West Mount Airy Neighbors (WMAN), Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) Philadelphia, and Need In Deed's classroom partnership advisory board. During her time on these boards, she worked on childcare analysis, event planning and fundraising, as well as marketing and communications. Chelsea completed her term in 2021 as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for Green Woods Charter School, a Green STEM focused K-8 school in Philadelphia. Chelsea is an Americorps alum (City Year Chicago,1999), a member of the FBI Citizens Academy and part of Leadership Philadelphia's "Top 101 Emerging Connectors." Chelsea is a journalist and a published author, collaborating with Sue Badeau on "Building Bridges of Hope: A Coloring Book for Adults Caring for Children Who Have Experienced Trauma." She has an extensive background in creating and teaching art, including painting murals in the Philadelphia Family Courthouse and in Kenya, as well as leading group painting sessions around the country on stress management techniques for caregivers of children who have experienced trauma. She created an endowed scholarship in 2018 in partnership with Arcadia University for students who have been in or aged out of foster care named the "Susan and Hector Badeau Endowed Scholarship," in honor of her parents who raised 22 children, 20 of whom were adopted. Chelsea graduated from Arcadia University in 2003 with a B.A. in Video Communications and received her MBA in 2023 from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois. She lives in Philadelphia with her two daughters and many pets.

Chelsea met ArtWell's founder, Susan Teegan, during a Leadership Philadelphia 3-minute drill, and even in that short time, she was able to see why ArtWell was so special. After learning more, she became even more excited about the work. She is passionate about education and art, and ArtWell combines those in a meaningful way that impacts so many people.
