Blue Benét is a transdisciplinary artist and educator who indexes transition and community through handmade paper, textiles, sculpture, film photography, installation, and performance. They received an MFA in poetry from Brooklyn College and are completing a second MFA in interdisciplinary arts at PAFA, where they assist in teaching sculpture and papermaking. They are on the exhibitions committee at DVAA, a curator at William Way, a member of Philadelphia Sculptors, and the founder of QT Art Collective. This year, they were nominated for the Dedalus MFA Fellowship, attended two AIRs, taught an alternative photography workshop, showed a large body of work in a three-person show, and returned to teaching.
